KAFVKA

17 May 2026

Doors open: 6 p.m.

Start: 7 p.m.

KAFVKA from Berlin has been musically and politically active for many years and is committed to social

justice and fighting right-wing extremism. KAFVKA's most successful song, ‘Alle hassen Nazis’ (Everyone hates Nazis), has been streamed over 17 million times on

Spotify alone and has become an integral part of every left-wing demonstration –

this fact speaks for itself.

KAFVKA

KAFVKA live is a very special experience: the band becomes one with the audience, it is a collective dance away from pain, a leap towards utopia and, as far as possible, a safe space for everyone. KAFVKA strives to create a safe atmosphere for everyone at all shows, makes awareness announcements, and posts notices to enable everyone to enjoy a free and equal concert experience. Drunk guys with their shirts off causing trouble are not to be found at KAFVKA shows – and if they are, the band throws them out.

Since their first EP in 2014, the band has become much bigger than they ever could have imagined. Jonas, Philipp, Alessio and Sascha have never pandering to the mainstream; yet they have successfully made the leap from Berlin's subculture scene to ‘New Music Friday Germany’, from small solo concerts to the ‘Rock am Ring’ lineup, and from hobby musicians to professional musicians. KAVFKA's stated goal is to spread the message of a better world through music and to inspire people to think and act.

KAFVKA has long since become a fixture on the German-language band scene – with its own label and a loyal fan base that would generously forgive them even the wildest genre leap. As if that weren't enough, the quartet is outgrowing the niche they created for themselves with each new album, opening up organically but noticeably to a much wider audience. Theoretically, given their current reach, KAFVKA could shift down a gear in terms of lyrical specificity – but the band is too agitated, too pissed off, too communicative for that. Paradoxically, however, KAFVKA does not lose its connectivity – and that is the great feat. Because they always link their undogmatically presented content to big emotions; because, despite all the fuck-ups, they don't get bogged down, always radiate a positive vibe and find a conciliatory twist.

‘Better a fanbase that stays than hype that fades away.’

KAFVKA are happy here in this place they have created for themselves. But the band is still far too hungry to recognise this place as the destination of their dreams – after all, there is a world to be won.
